A&D Market Manager for Greater London area

As an A&D Market Manager for the Greater London territory, you are responsible for growing the Hakwood brand and to build A&D specifications for our products. What’s the job?

As a A&D Market Manager you'll be at the forefront of our strategic initiatives, focusing primarily on the assigned geographic region of London. Your mission? To cultivate new business opportunities in alignment with Hakwood's vision and strategy.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • ​Developing New Business: You'll be at the helm of our business expansion efforts, executing a workload distribution plan designed to capture new market segments and opportunities. Your work will be integral to realizing our shared goals and aspirations.
  • Building Solid Relationships: Central to your success will be your ability to forge strong, enduring connections. You'll identify and engage with specifying Architects & Designers, as well as key stakeholders within our target business networks. By understanding their needs and aspirations, you'll position Hakwood as the go-to choice for luxury wooden flooring solutions.
  • Navigating Decision-Making Units: In the complex landscape of luxury flooring procurement, you'll excel at navigating decision-making units. By identifying and engaging with all relevant stakeholders, you'll ensure that Hakwood remains top-of-mind throughout the decision-making process.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • ​Generate sales within the A&D sector.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all relationship sales management matters within the A&D community.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with A&D clients, architects, designers, builders, installers, and developers.
  • Ensure A&D clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements with A&D clients to maximize profits.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, architects, designers, and customer stakeholders within the A&D community.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to A&D customer needs and objectives.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external A&D stakeholders.
  • Develop new business opportunities within the A&D sector and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
  • Develop brand awareness within the A&D community and sell new products.
  • Keep track of market developments within the A&D sector, e.g., by visiting exhibitions, attending frequent meetings with the network, etc.
  • Continuously provide market reports and demands within the A&D sector.
  • Forecast and track key account metrics within the A&D sector (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
  • Prepare reports on sales status within the A&D sector.
  • Manage projects within the A&D sector, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals.
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations within the A&D sector as needed.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and grow opportunities within the A&D territory.
  • Coordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service within the A&D sector.

What do you bring?

As a A&D Market Manager you'll need a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an A&D representative role. Your proven track record in high-end luxury business environments, coupled with expertise in selling at premium price levels, will be invaluable. Living in London, UK, and the ability to work from home are essential, along with an established network of high-end A&D relations. Strong cold calling, networking, and appointment-setting skills, along with superior deal-closing abilities, are crucial. You must also understand the buying process for specified products across various project types and be willing to travel internationally when necessary. Additionally, proficiency in software applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, coupled with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, is essential.
