Hakwood and Il Prisma collaborate for Sleep Event 2017

This week you can see Hakwood’s flooring and Wall Tiles during the Sleep Event in London. Each year this hotel design event holds a design competition and we are pleased to support architectural and design practice Il Prisma with their entry. The brief for the 2017 Sleep Set competition is Loyalty: Lessons in Love. The challenge? To create an experience so memorable that brand loyalty becomes love.

A long-term love affair

How can a ‘one-night stand’ become a long-term love affair? Il Prisma explored this concept: "Hotels and their designers now have a great opportunity to elicit guest loyalty by combining physical and digital worlds into a new ‘phigital’ paradigm. This has the potential not only to create connections between the hotel and its neighbourhood, but to deliver new networks for guests when they return home. In our Sleep Set, we will be proposing a system suitable for all types of hotels that explores the “phigital” model."
