The Devonshire Club and Hakwood

14 December 2016

The Devonshire Club, a new private member club in the city of London, is adorned with Hakwood flooring. The magnificent transformation of a Grade II listed former warehouse and townhouse is getting a lot of media attention. In the Q4 edition of Space Magazine the project is covered by a four page article, in which Hakwood is mentioned positively: “With wood flooring supplied by Dutch manufacturer Hakwood, the residential feel is maintained in a sophisticated manner”.

The Club offers 68 luxury bedrooms and suites, a brasserie, club lounge, library, private dining rooms and a spa. Interior Design Studio, March & White, are responsible for the design of the interior spaces. The interior has an elegant and feminine touch, as the Club also caters to women. You will find plenty of marble, Murano glass, mid-century furniture, and Hakwood flooring in many different variations. In nearly every room and even on the staircases there is Hakwood flooring. In the November issue of Sleeper Magazine our flooring is described as: “The Netherlands-based manufacturer has supplied the floorcoverings throughout in a variety of treatments, colours and styles, from herringbone to basket weave and chevron, which also serve to distinguish one space from the next.” We are proud to be part of this project.
