Casa Cor IV
São Paulo, Brazil
For the 2018 Casa Cor show, Roberto Migotto created a living experience that’s both aesthetically pleasing and superbly comfortable. Migotto believes “Every person we meet; every new place we explore becomes an inspiration.”
The different colours, patterns and textures reflect the wealth of influences that informed the design.
Hakwood is a company with a rich history, involved with everything from the raw timber to the final finish.
Perfectionist
“Doing a design for one of the big shows is always rewarding”, says Migotto. “We think about every detail, the balance of the different shapes and forms, the proportions of trimmings, furniture, panels and textures, and the combinations of colours and different styles. In that respect it’s not all too different from designing for a client: I am always very demanding and perfectionist.”
User experience
The Casa Cor spaces were specifically designed with the user experience in mind. “The interior is integrated with the garden area, there’s a large kitchen to receive guests and a nice bathroom to relax. Every detail is combined with elegance and sophistication.”
When you pay close attention to every single design element, the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
Versatile and high quality
Migotto has been working with Hakwood for a while now. “We’re always looking for versatile, high quality materials. Technical and operational feasibility are important as well. Hakwood’s products tick all the boxes; their flooring has indisputable quality, is sustainably produced, and the variety of colours, finishes and widths is impressive.”
